KILGORE, Lois

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 16, 2003 Lois Morse Bell-Kilgore, wife of the Rev. Dr. L. Wilson Kilgore of Valley Presbyterian Church, passed away March 16, 2003. A Memorial Service will be held at Valley Church, April 19th at 10:30 A.M., 6947 E. McDonald Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ. She and Dr. Kilgore were both widowed early in life and were left with 8 children. Their marriage produced one more. Lois was a poet, an author, and church school teacher. She wrote "Eight Special Studies For Senior Highs", which became a popular church school curriculum in the late 70's and early 80's for churches of many denominations. Recently her book "The Benevolent Eye" was published. It is a humorous account of family life with 9 children. One of her favorite charities was Valley Presbyterian Foundation. The children are: Richard P. Bell, Nancy D. Bell, Douglas A. Bell, Cindy Bell, Keith L. Kilgore, Sharon S. Kilgore, Paul W. Kilgore, Debora A. Kilgore and Kristie A. Kilgore. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
