PORTELLI, Angeline Rose (Nana)

Angeline Rose (Nana) Portelli, age 99, of Phoenix AZ, passed away June 14, 2003. Nana was born October 20, 1903 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Italian immigrants and she was 1 of 10 children. She owned and operated a beauty salon in Erie until she retired in the 50's and moved to Phoenix. Nana will be sadly missed and remembered for her joyous loving spirit, her strength and her big heart. She took great pride and joy in her family's achievements and accomplishments. She is survived by granddaughter Jami Smith; grandson-in-law Dr. Cameron Smith; great-grandchildren Ericka Smith, Brittney Smith and Cameron Taylor Smith; great-great grandchildren Schuyler Smith and Chase Loyd (the dancing baby); niece Rita Minichelli; grand nieces Julie Burns and Tara Omdahl; and grand nephew Cory Omdahl. Visitation will be held Wed., June 18, 2003, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Services will be held at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave., Thurs., June 19th at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Rd.
