Donna Jean Trout, 67, passed away Jan. 26, 2010, while under hospice home care, with her husband Harold Trout, son Dan Trout, daughter Lori Carpenter and granddaughter Jaime Carpenter by her side at home in Chino Valley, Ariz.
She was born May 15, 1942, in Decatur, Ill., to Robert and Eileen Vermillion. Her father was a grocery store owner in Decatur. In 1958, the family moved to San Bernardino, Calif. Eileen went to work there as a dental assistant. Donna graduated from San Bernardino High School in June 1960.
Harold Trout and Donna Vermillion met in September 1959, fell in love and married on July 17, 1960. Donna worked as a civil service employee for 19 years, retiring as an aircraft industrial technician. Harold worked as a computer analyst and retired in 1992 as well. The family found an ideal climate and living condition in Chino Valley and have settled here for the past nine years along with their children.
Chino Valley Funeral Home is handling the cremation arrangements. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the VA Hospital Chapel in Prescott, Ariz., with Mr. Rich Young, spiritual counselor, officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery.
