SCHATZ, Alvin

Alvin Schatz, age 85, passed away June 15, 2003 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was a resident of the Valley for the past two years. Alvin was a retired musician and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.

Survivors include his wife Eleanor, daughter Suzanne (Sheldon) Monashkin, sister Marcia (Manny) Goren, grandchildren Lana Monashkin, Alicia (Jerry) Herzog and Tara Monashkin, and great-grandchildren Kayla Monashkin Herzog and Taylor Herzog.

Funeral services Wednesday, June 18th at 10:00 A.M. in Paradise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 9300 E. Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale. Contributions in his memory are requested to Hillel Jewish Student Center, 1012 S. Mill Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85281. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
