GILLUM, Helen M.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, April 17, 2003 Helen M. Gillum, age 86, a life long Arizona resident, entered into rest on April 12, 2003. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1981. She is survived by daughter, Lindsey Gillum Douglass, and her husband Bob, daughter, Cynthia Louise Cheek and her husband Keith, son, Marion Gillum and his wife Pamela, son Robert Gillum; 10 Grandchildren; and 13 Great-grandchildren. Helen and Harold had a wonderful 48 years of marriage, early in their marriage they owned farming and dairy businesses. Later they were the proud owners and operators of several cocktail lounges throughout Phoenix, and Black Canyon City. Helen managed and operated most of the establishments while Harold entertained guests. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother, and she loved caring for her family. She was a member of the North West Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A memorial service will be held it 2:00P.M.
