Peter Paul Strunk, 49, of Mesa, Arizona was in a fatal car accident on Friday April 11th, 2003. Peter graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1975, serving in the Air Force the next nine-and-a-half years. He worked for Allied Signal for the next four years, and in 1989 he went to work for Northwest Airlines as a commercial pilot.
Together with his wife, Pete put three daughters through college; he was a passionate participant in the aviation world, valued the outdoors and he loved being in the sky, in Hawaii or in the White Mountains of Arizona.
Donations may be made to the Sierra Club in his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Katie, daughters Emily and Elaine Strunk, daughter and son-in-law Elisabeth Strunk and Matt Effron, father William Strunk, sisters Mindy Mink, Kathy Eigelbach and Meg Menkedick, and several loving cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 14, 2003 at the Falcon Field Airport Public Park at 4:00PM.
