Judith “Judy” Faye Edwards, daughter of Ralph Henderson and Helen Henderson, of Miami, Ariz., passed away on Jan. 19, 2010 at her home in Spokane, Wash.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Don Edwards; daughter, Helen Edwards, of San Antonio, Texas; son, Ralph Edwards, of Spokane, Wash.; son, Roger Edwards, of Yuba City, Calif.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Helen Henderson, of Globe, Ariz.; and brother, Martin Henderson, of Las Vegas, Nev.
She was a longtime Arizona resident and was born in Tucson. While in high school she met the love of her life, Don Edwards; they were married on Dec. 26, 1955 in Miami, Ariz. After marriage she traveled quite extensively with her husband, living in Tucson, Ariz., Reno, Nev., Mesa, Ariz., Philippine Islands, Spokane, Wash. and Homestead, Fla.
Judy was very active in the Spokane Orchid Society and the Nation Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Besides growing orchids, Judy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics and Mahjongg.
Her favorite activities were camping along the Washington coast, salmon fishing, beach combing and life in general.
She became aware of health problems in 2009 and was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly thereafter. She was able to be at home among friends and family. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Henderson; and her daughter, Donna Marie Edwards.
