CASEY, Eileen Elizabeth


Eileen Elizabeth Casey of Sun City, AZ passed away on June 1, 2003. She was born July 23, 1913 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on Long Island, NY. She became a commercial artist in New York City. She married the late Eugene Boyd Casey in 1940 and lived on Long Island raising her family and working as an administrative assistant for the Village of Hempstead. She retired with her husband to Sun City in 1976. She had a strong interest in education and a lifelong love of books, history, music, art, and current events. She volunteered at the Seton Shop at St. Elizabeth Seton Church and at the Sun City Public Library. She is survived by her three sons: Kevin B, Casey, of San Diego, CA; Dougal M. Casey of Alexandria, VA; and Richard C. Casey of Edison, NJ; three grandsons: Brian of Granger, IN; Michael of Dunn Loring, VA; and Daniel of Washington, DC; and 7 great-grandchildren: Alex, Emily and Claire of VA; and Sean, Caitlin, Jillian and Kristin of IN. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM, June 20, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W. Palmeras Dr., Sun City, AZ, followed by inurnment at Sunland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in her memory to the Toussaint Teen Center, c/o St. Vincent de Paul Villages, 3350 E. Street, San Diego, CA 92102.
