FLORES, Ralph C.


Ralph C. Flores, 93, passed away in Tempe, AZ on 6/16/2003. He was born in Sonora, Mexico on 3/1/1910. He lived in the Phoenix and Tempe areas for 75 years. He worked for Tempe School District for 10 years at Rural Elementary School and also worked as a plasterer in the construction field. He was involved for betterment of the Hispanic community, member and President of LULAC, member of Community Service Organization, formed and coached CSO baseball team, member of St. Vincent De Paul, Charitable work for Guadalupe Community. He was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Flores, sons, Armando and Oscar Flores. He is survived by his daughter, Grace Nugent of Tempe, son, Ralph Flores of New Mexico, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Resthaven Park Mortuary on Thursday, 6/19/2003 from 6-8pm and a Rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be Friday, 6/20/2003 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1815 E. Gemini Dr in Tempe at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, Hospice of the Valley or St. Vincent De Paul. Published in The Arizona Republic on 6/18/2003.
