Mrs. Alberta W. Case, 76, a teacher in the Roosevelt Elementary School until she retired in 1961, died of cancer Sunday, August 13, 1967, in her home, 7550 N. 16th St. Mrs. Case was graduated from Des Moines College in 1915 and taught in Des Moines, Iowa, schools before coming to Phoenix in 1937. She was the mother of Maggie Savoy, former Republic women's page editor now Mrs. James Bellows of Beverly Hills, California. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Madison Baptist Church, 6202 N. 12th St. Graveside services will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Los Angeles, A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary announced. Mrs. Case, a native of Ottumwa, Iowa, also is survived by a son, Robert S. Case of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Charles Neveln of Phoenix; two brothers, Robert Williams of Alameda, California, Roy Williams of West Hartford, Connecticut; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
