The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, April 18, 2003 LaVerne Carol Gonyea, 71, of Glendale Arizona, passed away April 15, 2003. She was the daughter of Vernon King and Alice Holder and the widow of Walter Lawrence Gonyea II. Survived by her 5 children, Lorraine Santy, Steven Strapach, Michael Strapach, Walter Gonyea III and Michelle Rosales; grandmother of 16 and the great grandmother of 6. "Vernie" grew up in Auburn New York and has been a resident of Arizona for the last 30 years of her life. Visitation Saturday, April 19th from 1-4pm at Camelback Sunset Chapel, 301 W.
