John Kephart of Pinetop died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2009, in Tucson as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Jan. 6, 2010, in Pinetop.
John was born May 2, 1940, in Monroe County, Iowa, to Lindsay and Elsie Kephart. He attended schools in Southern California and was an accomplished artist, photographer and craftsman.
He is survived by his daughter Carolyn Palomores; grandchildren Brittany and Trevor; great grandchildren Emmalee and Zachary; sisters Alyce Hamilton, Joanne O'Neil, all of California; nephew Scott Hamilton and step daughter Debbie Echeverria, both of Tucson.
John's cherished wife Mary Kephart predeceased him in death Oct. 24, 2009. John and Mary were members of the Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church in Pinetop.
Memorial Services for John will be held at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church in Pinetop at a date to be announced.
