Anna Louise Bushey, 92, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005 in Flagstaff.
She was born March 11, 1913 in Hays, Kansas, to Nicholas and Lila Schlyer.
She was married to Louis Edmund Bushey on July 30, 1936, in Kansas. Together they lived in Hays and Topeka, Kan., Colorado Springs, and the last 63 years in Flagstaff.
She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Altar Society and the Lady Elks Club. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. To those who knew her she was a human dictionary.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Brenda) Bushey, of Glendale; daughters, Kay Leistner, of Flagstaff and Barbara (Barry) Landis, of Phoenix; brother, Nick Schlyer, of Oceanside, California; sister, Frances Talley, of Denver; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Sue Gregg; one brother; and two sisters.
Memorial services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Nativity Chapel at 16 W. Cherry, with the viewing from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be immediately following in Calvary Cemetery.
