SANCHEZ, Alfides

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Alfides Sanchez (Died October 14, 2005) Alfides Sanchez, 81, passed away on October 14, 2005 in Phoenix. She was born to Jose and Rose Cordova on July 26, 1924 in Flagstaff. Her family moved to Santa Rita, NM and at the age of 15 she returned to Flagstaff. She married Manuel O. Sanchez on July 13, 1941. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to share stories about her childhood. She was a loving, caring and giving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. Ms. Sanchez is survived by her sons; Tony (Dora) Sanchez, Ernie (Jaque) Sanchez both of Flagstaff, Raymond Sanchez of Phoenix, daughters; Eva Diaz, Dora Boyk both of Phoenix and Frances Chavez of Flagstaff, brother; Floyd Cordova of California, sister; Cecilia (John) Burton of New Mexico, 26 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. Ms. Sanchez is preceded in death by her parents; Jose and Rose Cordova, husband; Manuel O. Sanchez, brothers; Arturo Cordova, Frankie Cordova and sisters; Maryann Padilla, Ester Trujillo. An evening vigil and holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick. Burial will follow services at the Calvary Cemetery, 201 W. University.
