Myrtle Lee (Summerhill) Wheat Olson, 88 years of age passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at the Hospice of the Valley Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ.
Myrtle was a long-time resident of Scottsdale. In her later years she resided in Phoenix. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in downtown Phoenix for many years.
Myrtle was born in Arkadephia, AR and came to Scottsdale with her husband and children in 1937. Myrtle spent her working years as a care-giver and nurses assistant in Scottsdale at Browns Private School for girls and retired at age 67 from Judson School.
Myrtle was a wonderful homemaker, a hard worker, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family. There was always a birthday card for her family with socks or a little money tucked inside. She never forgot.
Myrtle is survived by her son Alvin (Bud) Wheat & twin sister Evelyn (Wheat) Bisted both of Phoenix. She also had two sons, Perry Wheat Jr. and Roger H. Wheat, both deceased. She is survived also by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21st at 10:30 AM, visitation 1 hour prior at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave.
