REMICK, Eugene (Harvey)


Eugene (Harvey) Remick, 83, born June 8, 1920, passed peacefully in his sleep on June 17, 2003. He grew up in Westfield, N.J. and graduated Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, stationed in England and the Philippines, and retired as a full Colonel. After the war he worked for Bell Telephone Labs for 36 years, living in Kwajalein (Marshall Islands) and Tinton Falls, N.J. He retired in 1982 and moved to Phoenix, AZ. He was a member of the Sons Of The American Revolution, the Phoenix Genealogical Society, the AZ Society of Arms Collectors, the Arizona Arms Association, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Jane S. Remick. Sons William and John of Phoenix; daughter Susan Drout of Tucson; and two grandchildren, Emily Vann and Alan Drout survive him. His family and many friends will miss Harvey tremendously. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at 11:00 AM at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E.
