June Corwin Haynes, 60, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away June 14, 2003. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth R. Corwin; and brother, Norman. June is survived by her husband, William E. "Skip" Haynes, III, to whom she was happily married for 37 years. Born in Chicago, she was raised in Dubuque, Iowa. After receiving her Bachelors in Education from the University of Colorado, Denver she moved to Phoenix in 1974. June began a successful career in real estate, but returned to her passion of educating children. She taught in the Valley for more than 20 years, teaching the past 18 in the Peoria School District. An avid member of Gold Key Racquet Club for more than a decade, she thoroughly enjoyed her tennis family. The friendships formed over the last twenty years in her Bunko group were an essential aspect of her life. She cared deeply for all of her family and friends. Forever upbeat, June always pursued life to the fullest. In addition to her husband, Skip, June is survived by her mother, Helen of Newport, OR; brother Kent of Portland, OR; sister Sheila (Doug) Robinson of Denver; daughter Jennifer (Rob) Staples of Tucson, daughter Ashley (Randy) Brickley and granddaughter Kelly Brickley of Phoenix. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 27, 2003, 5:00PM at Shadow Rock Congregational Church, 12861 N. 8th Avenue, Phoenix. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at Gold Key Racquet Club, 12826 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the June C.
