Gladys “Arlene” Staggs Gladys “Arlene” Staggs, 63, passed away from this life to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Peoria, Arizona. She was born on February 9, 1943 in Buckeye, Arizona. Arlene and her husband were married for 34 years and during her life she was a hair stylist, seamstress, pianist and cake decorator, as well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Arlene is survived by her son, Mark Staggs, of Buckeye, Ariz.; daughter, Sheryl Van Horn, of Yuma; and grandchildren, Alicia and Kendra Staggs and Whitney and Ryan Van Horn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murl “Gene” Staggs; parents, Lillie Mae and Otis Arnold; brothers, Gentry Arnold, Cletus Arnold and Richard Arnold; and sister, Hazel Ramsay. Services will be held at Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 E. Baseline Rd., Buckeye, AZ on Friday, April 14, 2006 at 10 a.m. with Pastors Robert Van Horn and Gilbert Taeger officiating. Final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
