CAHILL, Ruth (Cuca)

Ruth "Cuca" Cahill, 90, a native of Phoenix, passed away November 26, 2002. She was born July 3, 1912 to Santiago "S.L." and Ramona Cahill. 

Ruth graduated from Phoenix Union High School and Gregg Business College and attended Phoenix College. She retired from the State Department of Vocational Education Homemaking Department in 1978, after 34 years of service. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her two brothers, Barney Cahill of Phoenix, and Jim Cahill of Reno, NV. She is survived by her sisters, Esther Blanco, Virginia Sanchez, Ernestine Limon, and Ramona Hildebrand; her many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her pet poodle, Juaney. 

Visitation on Friday, November 29th at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, November 30th at Whitney & Murphy. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, 85014, or St. Mary's Food Bank, 2841 N. 31st Ave., Phoenix, 85009. Ruth was greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends.
