CROOK, Alma Lois


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 20, 2003 Alma Lois Crook, 90, of Phoenix, Arizona, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 14, 2003. She died in Atlanta, Georgia, in the home and loving care of her daughter after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Lois was born on September 16, 1912, in Detroit, Mich. She attended Wheaton College and graduated with honors and went on to receive a Master's Degree from U.C.L.A. She was a retired teacher with the Alhambra School District. She was a member of Westwood Community Baptist Church. She was an active member of Sweet Adelines and a volunteer at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Lois was predeceased by her husband, John Lea Crook. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Rosalynn (Mike) Rucker of Atlanta, GA; Naomi Beth Derdivanis of Scottsdale; Trini (Billy) Jackson of Phoenix and her beloved grandchildren: Maritry, Elizabeth, & Brandon Jackson; Matthew & Corey Derdivanis; Jessica, Rebecca & Sarah Rucker.
