Louise Hogman, a longtime resident of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on April 13, at the age of 93. Her two loving daughters were at her side. Louise was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She was a 1933 graduate of the University of Winconsin. She and her late husband, Marty, raised their family in Wisconsin.
After moving to Phoenix in 1967, Louise worked as a ward clerk at Good Samaritan Hospital and then at Sakowitz store in Scottsdale.
Louise is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (and Erv) Hinds of Santa Fe, NM and LuAnn (and Bob) Watkins of Truckee, CA; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Watkins of Portland, OR, Eric (and Aleacia) Hinds of Denver, CO, a sister-in-law, Merrette Caplow of Sun City, AZ and the beloved Philip Nienstedt family of Paradise Valley, AZ.
Louise will be especially remembered by family and friends for her loving kindness, generosity, strength of character, and youthful outlook; her love of animals, sports, and long walks. She was blessed with a long, healthy, active life. Her loved ones will miss her very much and will have many wonderful memories of times spent with her.
Many thanks and love to the special people who have taken care of Louise over the past four years; Jackie and "the girls' at Hacienda Granada and also Hospice of AZ. A donation has been made in Louise's name to Farm Sanctuary.
