Sunday, April 20, 2003
Jerry Otto Imgarten began his new life on April 15th, 2003. Born in Triplett Missouri on November 9th, 1941. He moved to Arizona from Minnesota in 1979 with his wife Judy and his two girls.
Jerry was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army and served in Vietnam on the front lines. He was awarded a purple heart and multiple honorable medals for his service to our country. He worked for the US Post office for 20 years and retired on January 3rd, 2003 as Head of Transportation. His work ethics and genuine caring for others is what has defined him as an admirable man.
He always said to "Do the right thing" and set an example in doing so himself. He was an extremely polite person showing his appreciation to others openly with kind words and a smile that could light up a room. A true Gentleman in every sense.
He will be missed by his two daughters, Jodi and Jan. Son in law, Jack. Grandchildren, Ryan, Cameron and Paige. Two Half brothers, Hal and Jimmy. Special Thanks to Joyce Imgarten, Ernest T., Janet and George for their constant love and support.
Memorial Services will be held on April 23rd, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 East Bell Rd., Scottsdale, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Vietnam Veterans Assistance Fund. www.vvafund.org
