Cornelio L. Lopez July 2, 1918 - May 20, 2008
Cornelio was born to Cornelio and Micaela Lopez inn Hayden, Arizona in the barrio of San Pedro.
During the Depression Cornelio and his family moved to Esqueda, Sonora Mexico where he grew up and married Ramona, his wife of 64 years.
In 1947, with his young wife and two children, Cornelio returned to Hayden and joined his brothers and sisters. He worked for the copper mines and was a union member realizing the benefits for the hard working people.
Cornelio always had a great sense of humor and was a great story teller. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his friends and especially gathering with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His trademark cowboy hat and a toothpick in his mouth will be remembered by all.
Preceded in death by brothers, Adan Amado, Eliodoro Romo, and sisters, Elvira Romero, Alicia Vega, Tuchi Loya, Lilly Medina, Anita Chaffino, Isabel Ballesteros, and Maria Ramirez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ramona; sons,m Cornelio (Ceci), Arturo (Nina); daughters, Josefina Zapata (Frank), Micaela Wasko (Dennis), Gerri Bracamonte (Chacho), Anita Leyva (Hector), 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Josephs Church in Hayden, AZ. On Saturday, May 24, 2008 there will be a Funeral mass service at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church followed by burial services.
