The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 20, 2003 Robert W. Snyder, 79, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away April 16, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Snyder was born May 9, 1923 in Middletown, New York moving to Arizona in 1977. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and later worked as a salesman for 25 years at Vee Ford Motor Sales in Middletown. After moving to the valley, Bob worked as a security guard for 10 years at Scottsdale Memorial North Hospital. He was also a 50+ year member of the Free & Accepted Masonic Lodge #412 in Middletown. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially loved to make people laugh. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Rose Marie; a son, Joseph (Colleen); a daughter, Sandy (Theodore) Galde; a niece, Debbie Moffett; a nephew, Bob Moffett along with 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be Monday, April 21, at 7:00 PM, with a gathering of friends starting one hour prior to the service at Southside Baptist Church, 1001 E. Southern Ave., Tempe. A military graveside service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to Hospitalized Veteran's, C/O Dept. of Veteran's Affairs, 135 Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Cntr., 650 E.
