SOWARDS, Frances M.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 20, 2003 Frances M. Sowards, 75, of Peoria, AZ, passed away April 16, 2003. Frances was born and raised in Washington, PA, she attended The DePaul Institute for the Deaf. Upon graduation she and her family moved to Cleveland, OH, where she worked for "Bailey Meter" for 25 years. She retired and moved to Phoenix, AZ, and went into the work field again with "Digital Corp." for 11 years, she retired the 2nd time, and went back to work for "Just in Time" for 4 years, at this time she retired permanently when she found out that her cancer had progressed. Frances is survived by her husband Joseph of Peoria, AZ, brothers Joseph of Cleveland, OH, Anthony of Peoria, AZ, Frank of Glendale, AZ and 41 nieces and nephews. Frances belonged to the Phoenix Association for the Deaf and the Italian Sons and Daughters. Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2003 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will be Monday, April 21, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road. Courtesy of Pat Wilson
