Guy Alan Stepanski, 45, entered into rest on April 15, 2003. Guy was born April 7, 1958 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, moving to Scottsdale, Arizona with his family in 1970 and spending his early years fully experiencing the western culture he loved so much by working on a ranch as a cowboy.
He was actively involved in the Scottsdale community as co-founder of the Northwest Scottsdale Property Association (NESPOA), serving on the board for five years, President for three. He represented NESPOA on the Scottsdale Coalition Committee and was active in local politics for six years.
In recent years he was appointed and served as a Commissioner for both the city's Park's and Recreation and Scottsdale Airport Advisory Commission where he was recognized for his dedication, support and service as Vice Chairman of Scottsdale Advisory Commission where he was recognized for his dedication, support and service as Vice Chairman of Scottsdale Advisory Commission.
One of his major accomplishments was managing the family owned business, Service & Sales, Inc., as President for the last ten years. In his leisure, he had a passion for flying small planes and scuba diving with family and friends.
Guy will be remembered lovingly by his wife, Kate; mother, Shirley; father and step-mother, Julius and Janice; brothers and sisters, Sharon (James) Phillips, Janet Walker, David (Anita DeBoer) Stepanski, Jeffrey Stepanski (Lance Seltzer), Karen (Robert) Rittel, Joseph (Katherine) Stepanski, Tammy Papp; step-sister and brother, Michelle Decker, Michael (Debbie) Busenburg, twelve nieces and nephews; five step-nieces and nephews; six grand nieces and nephews; Scott Papp and many friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Guy's memory to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 West Northern Ave., Suite A-100, Phoenix, AZ 85021 or The American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 10815 N. 84th St., Scottsdale, AZ.
