WINTERS, Fred William

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, AZ January 21, 2003 Fred William Winters He was born Sept. 9, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Winters was a retired can maker and a retired USCG GM 3C WWII veteran. Fred belonged to the American Legion Post 0031 in St. Johns. He is survived by his loving family; daughters, Ramona Wilkinson of St. Johns, Fay Hull of Santa Monica, California, Suzanne Ross of Laucitland, Nevada; sons, Thomas Butler of Phoenix; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Winters was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Fred Winters; brother, Ed Meyers. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Baptist Church in St. Johns. Arrangements are under the direction of Jewkes Mortuary in St. Johns.
