CALDERWOOD, Mary Kay

Mary Kay Calderwood passed away June 20, 2003, at age 78, of congestive heart failure. Mary Kay is survived by her three children, Vicki Hegebush of Tempe, Arizona, Cathy Cross of Tucson, Arizona and Steve Calderwod of Key West, Florida and her sister, Pat Page of Burbank, California. Her life was also graced with five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mary Kay and her husband, George Calderwood, DVM, moved to Tempe in 1954 to establish a veterinary practice and to raise their young family. Her passion was traveling northern Arizona Indian reservations and collecting Indian art. Mary Kay was a member of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Auxiliary, the Tempe chapters of ESA, PEO, and the Alpha Kappa Sorority. A memorial service will be held for Mary Kay on Monday, June 23, 2003, at 11:00 AM at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2085 E. Southern, Tempe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be sent to the Dr. G. S. Calderwood Fund at Colorado State University, which provides scholarships for Arizona veterinary students.
