Dorothy "Pat" Van Sant of Alamagordo, N. M., died Aug. 13, 1993, at Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital in Alamogordo. She was 79.
Mrs. Van Sant was born June 1, 1914, in Chadron, Nebraska.
After receiving her bachelor's and master's degrees from Chadron State College, she taught English, American History, Psychology, Drama and Speech at Alamogordo and Chadron High Schools from 1956 to 1978. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Nebraska, the Pan American Roundtable, and the First Christian Church in Alamagordo.
Survivors include four daughters; Joan Whiteley of Wickenburg, Linda Marshall and her husband Harry of Holyoke, Colorado, Marjorie Hinman and her husband, Ed, of Alliance, Neb., and Becky Davison of Alamogordo; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister, Marjorie Rocheck of Portland, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Myra Susan Davison, two husbands, Perle Davison and Nick Van Sant and a brother, Harry Putnam.
Services have been held, the Reverend Rick Eichenlaub and Pastor Emeritus George Brown officiated.
Interment was at the Monte Vista Cemetery, Alamogordo.
