Stanley Clair Gillespie of Morristown died Sept. 19, 1993, at his home. He was 67. Mr. Gillespie was born July 7, 1926 in Douglas, Wyoming, and had lived in Arizona for five years. He was a WWII veteran, having served with the Navy.
After 30 years working with Conoco, he retired in 1979. He began his career as a roustabout with Continental Pipeline in Lance Creek, Wyo., culminating with his position as head maintenance man in Hobbs, N. M.
Mr. Gillespie is survived by his wife Beatrice of Morristown; sons Richard Sackett of Santee, Calif., Ronald and Terry address unknown and Michael Gillespie of Seminole, Texas; daughters Donna Whelchel of Lake Forrest, Calif., Kay Dickerson and Sharon Robinson of Gladewater, Texas; sister, Phyllis Mahoney of North Platte, Neb.; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Blanche Gillespie.
Private family viewing will be held today, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1993, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel, with cremation following.
Cremated remains will be transported to Wyoming for final disposition by his family.
