AMES, John

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona November 10, 1983 John Ames, of Cambridge City, Ind., died Nov. 3 in Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 85. Ames had been a resident of Wickenburg from 1875 to 1981. He is survived by two daughters Ina Mae French, of Centerville, Ind., and Jessi Cowin, of Milton, Ind.; one son George Ames, of Cambridge City; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were Nov. 7 at Fisher-Waskom Mortuary in Cambridge City. Burial was at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin, Ind.
