COON, Lillie

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 28, 1983 Lillie Coon, 94, died in an area rest home on July 26. She was born on March 31, 1889, in San Diego, Calif., and spent her childhood on cattle ranches near the Mexican border. She came to Wickenburg in 1921 with her husband, Fred, who was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. She is survived by four children, Victoria Roe, of Payson; Edna Raymond, of Madera, Calif.; Dollie Gates of Idaho Falls and Fred coon of Fresno, Calif. She is also survived by two guardian grandchildren, Richard Rawls, of Phoenix and Jim Rawls of California; two step-children, Earl Coon, of New Hampshire and Hariette Peterson of Hemet, California. She leaves 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
