Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Wednesday, January 24, 2001, p A-6 An 11-year-old Bagdad girl was the victim of a trailer fire in that community last week, said Yavapai County Sheriff's Office officials. According to YCSO reports, deputies and the Bagdad Fire Department responded to a call on Tuesday, Jan 16 at a trailer park and when they arrived were told that an 11-year-old Clarissa Hornsby had possibly entered the structure and had not been seen. Bagdad firemen fought for more than a half hour to extinguish the blaze enveloping the single-wide mobile home. Firemen then told deputies that they had found the girl's body in her bedroom. Authorities said the children's parents were at work when the fire broke out. The Bagdad Fire Department and Phelps Dodge are overseeing relief efforts to assist the Hornsby family.
