William N.
William N. Hodges passed away peacefully on June 17, 2003. He was born on December 26, 1937 in Mobile, Alabama and lived his childhood in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was 16 years old when he decided to enter into the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He retired after serving 27 years as a CMSGT with the 82 FTW (ATC). He loved his life in the military service and was proud to have served his Country.
While his sons were growing up he enjoyed being their Boy Scout Leader of Troop 85 and he enjoyed being involved with the William AF Base Little League organization. He also enjoyed going camping and fishing which he is now able to do everyday.
Survivors include his loving wife, Melynda; Mother, Willie Mae Turner; sister Deborah Jorden; sons, Steven, Michael, Paul (Doreen) and Kirk (Petra); grandsons, Nicholas Hodges, Zachary Hodges; granddaughters, Kahara Hodges, Zoe Hodges; nephew Michael (Sabrina) Turner; great-nieces La Naya, Kayla, great-nephew Michael (Jr) Turner. Sweet Lovable Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at Paradise Chapel Funeral Home at 3934 E. Indian School Road at 3 PM Friday, June 27, 2003. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85014.
