FRANZ, George

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 29, 1983 George Franz, 88, of Wickenburg, and Driggs, Idaho, died Dec 25 in Walter G. Boswell Hospital in Sun City. Funeral services for Franz will be at the Church of the latter Day Saints at 1 p.m. Saturday in Pinedale, Wyo., with Bishop Carroll James officiating. Burial will be in the Pinedale Cemetery. Franz was born in Hepler, Kan., on Sept. 12, 1895. He married the late Ruth Scott June 29, 1922. On Jan., 1978, he married Shirla D. Larsen in Redlands, Calif., at which time they moved to Wickenburg. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Maxine Calvert, San Diego, Calif.; Marjorie Lambson, Redlands, Calif.; Marlene Mobley, Laramie, Wyo. and seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorials may be made to the Museum of Mountain Men, Pinedale, Wyo.
