Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 26, 1983 Robert F. Echeverria, 59, partner in the Cross Mountain Sheep Company, R.I. Sheep Company and president of the Echeverria Hay Company, died on May 7 at his brother’s home in Denver. He was born in Glendale and moved to Casa Grande 35 years ago from Wickenburg. He represented Arizona on the All-American High School Football Team in 1942, served in the Navy during World War II, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Anthony’s Parish and was a supporter of school athletics in Casa Grande. He was also a trustee of the Arizona Wool Growers Association. He is survived by his mother Victoria; his wife, Bertha; two sons, Robert and Vencient of Casa Grande; two daughters, Cecille Rodgers and Laura Miller of Casa Grande; five brothers, Roy Longmont of Colorado, Donald of Phoenix, Mike, Julio and Ruby of Casa Grande; four sisters, Josephine Pemberton of Wickenburg, Laura Ferris of Nevada, Glady Miller of Phoenix, Yvonne of Tempe and seven grandchildren. A rosary was recited on May 10 at his church.
