MATNEY, Charles Harold

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 13, 1983 Charles Harold Matney, who had been a resident of Wickenburg for 18 years, died on Jan 8. He was a building contractor by profession, before he moved to Wickenburg in 1965. Matney had been a member of the Wysandotte No. 3 Masonic Lodge for 50 years and the Hyacinth Chapter No. 156 of Kansas City for 50 years. He is also a past president of the Wickenburg Shrine Club and a member of the First Presbyterian Citizen award in 1976. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Dolores Singleton of Texas; three granddaughters, and two great granddaughters. He is also survived by a sister, Helen Rushton of Kansas; one niece and two nephews. Services were Jan. 11 at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
