William L. Simcox, a resident of Wickenburg for 11 years, died at his home May 25.
He was born in Bunbufy, Penn., Sept. 26, 1906 and graduated from the Williamson School of Trades in Media, Pennsylvania in 1927. He moved to Arizona in 1929 and was associated with the building trades in Arizona and California until his retirement in 1971. An example of his skill as a carpenter is well demonstrated in the little chapel in Los Caballeros Western Museum which is his contribution to the history of Wickenburg.
Mr. Simcox is survived by his wife, Nellie; his daughter, Susan Needles of Davis, Calif.; his son, Melvin, of Salome; one
sister, Charlotte Newhart of Pennsylvania and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted May 31 by Rev. Adam Lautenschlger at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel.
