Harvey Lee Hudson, CMSGT. Harvey L. Hudson USAF (Ret.) passed away peacefully after a courageous battle in Sun City on November 25, 2002.
Harvey was surrounded by the love of many of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was born on Feb. 7, 1921 in Paducah, Texas. He was a decorated war veteran who served for 31 years in the Air Force during WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam.
Harvey was a Scout Master and worked with Little League for over 20 years. While serving as district chief umpire of District 2 Little League he helped set up a certified umpires program still in use today. Harvey was active in Acacia Masonic Lodge #42 and Acacia Chapter #46. Harvey lived in the valley for 31 years and was active in West Phoenix Baptist Church and most recently was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sun City.
He is survived by his wife Ellen, sons Harvey Jr., John, Gerry and Courtney; daughters Sue Candrea and Marci Johnson; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation Friday, November 29, 2002. Service at Greer-Wilson Funeral Home, 5921 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley at 11301 N. 99th Ave. Peoria, Az. 85345.
