HARVEY, Robert Earl

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, April 21, 2003 Robert Earl Harvey, age 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2003. Born March 21, 1905 in Poplarville, Mississippi the son of Franklin B. and Margaret Jane Thompson Harvey. He grew up in and around Mesa, Arizona, and was married to Nell Hastings on May 9, 1928 in the LDS Mesa Temple. Later in life, they lived in Ventura and Blythe, California. He completed a two-year LDS mission in England from 1925 to 1927. Survived by five children, Robert (Magna, Utah), Dwayne (Sonora, California), Gerald (Hurricane, Utah), Barry (West Jordan, Utah), and Dale (Salt Lake City, Utah). Preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brothers and sisters: Peter, Kindred, Viola, Bryon, Julius, Julia, Tully, Mildred, Myrtle, Frank, and Paul. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19 form 5-7 PM at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah. Funeral services will be held in Mesa, Arizona 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the LDS Cornerstone Ward, University Ave. and North Mesa Dr., where friends may call from 9:30-10:15 AM.
