The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, April 21, 2003 Joe G. Nunez, 85, born in Glendale, AZ, went to be with Our Lord April 18, 2003. Joe was a fun loving person who lived life to the fullest. He is a United States Army Veteran. Joe spent a great deal of time in Santa Maria, CA where he was in the Tavern business. He is preceded in death by his son Joe Jr. Survivors include his son Tommy (Mary Ann), daughters Theresa (Julian) De La Cruz and Mary "Lollie" Stayer; ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many loving friends. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 E. Libra Dr. Tempe, AZ. With Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. We would like to thank the Westchester Care Center Staff for the loving care given to our father.
