ALLEN, Mary Joyce

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 02/25/2003 Mary Joyce Allen, 73, died Feb. 14, 2003 in Phoenix. Mrs. Allen was born Sept. 4, 1929 in Winchester, Kentucky and lived there until moving to Mesa in 1962. She lived in Springerville from 1972 until moving to Pinetop in 1998. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was very involved in the Kingdom Hall. She loved being outdoors and gardening. She is survived by her children; Charles D. Allen of Phoenix, Barbara G. Sparrow of Phoenix and Julie N. Allen of Pinetop; one brother and three sisters, Edith Click of Tucson, Valada Stamper of Ohio and Boots of Kentucky as well as five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Kingdom Hall Thursday, Feb. 20 with interment services at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low.
