PEDERLICK, Jack Louis


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, AZ - 02/28/2003 Jack Louis Pederlick, 75, died Feb. 24, 2003 at home in Show Low. Jack was born and raised in Wisconsin. After graduating from high school in 1944 he joined the Navy and served on the USS Ranger in the Gulf of Mexico. After being honorably discharged Jack went back to Wisconsin where he worked for the North Central Airlines and later as a jogger. In 1959, Jack moved to Arizona where he worked for SARCO, eventually becoming a mining supervisor. He married Ruby Kiser in 1953 and together had one son, Jack. In 1983, he married Betty McKinney and they have lived in Show Low and Tucson. Jack was active in rotary and was a volunteer at the Safe House for nine years. He also did volunteer work at St. Rita's Catholic Church, where he was a member. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and loved college basketball. Jack is survived by his wife Betty of Show Low; son, Jack (Rebecca) Pederlick of Tucson; a step-son Mark (Claudette) Blaszczyk of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren, Lisa, Jenna and Tara; three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ellis and two brothers, Harold and Edward. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 26 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Show Low.
