NICHOLS, Stella

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/25/2003 (April 2,1923 - March 18, 2003) Stella Nichols, 79, died at home in Snowflake March 18, 2003. Stella was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her garden. Sewing clothes for her children to wear to school was another talent of hers. Stella was a wonderful lady who will always be remembered and loved by those who knew her. Stella is survived by two daughters, Janice (Tom) Farley of Diboll, Texas, and Janet Champlin of Snowflake; one brother, Hunt Ramsay of Snowflake; two sisters, Annalou Maxwell of Snowflake and Carolyn Cassaday of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver E. Nichols and a son-in-law, Frances Champlin. Graveside services were held Saturday, March 22 at the R. V. "Mike" Ramsay Cemetery in Snowflake. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to RTA Hospice, 5658 Hwy 260, No. 5, Lakeside, AZ 85929. Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled the arrangements.
