The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/25/2003 Virgil Kessay, 63, died March 19, 2003 in Phoenix. Virgil was born Jan. 1, 1940 in Cedar Creek and resided in McNary. He served in the Army from 1960-1966. He is survived by his wife, Dorinda Kessay; daughters, Pauline and Virgie Kessay; sons, Nathaniel, David and Clifford Kessay; brother, Jasper Kessay, Sr.; god-daughters, Virginia Massey and Pertissa Roberts; grandchildren, Tasha, Craig, Jan, Shelby, Rope, Tiny and Cash. A wake will be held at his residence in McNary Tuesday, March 25. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at Whiteriver Lutheran Church with Pastor Ditter officiating. Interment will be held at Mourning Dove in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
