KAMRAR, Zona


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 7, 1993 Zona Kamrar, resident of Salome since 1963, died on Saturday, June 13, 1993. Kamrar was owner and president of Southwestern Telephone Company and 21st Century TV and had been involved in many community activities over the years. She was a charter member of the McMullen Valley Chamber of Commerce and its treasurer from 1989 to 1992. Kamrar was a member of ViSaWen Women's Club and served as its president for two terms. She was a member of TriValley Medical Association and was on the Centennial Park Board of Directors and was instrumental in the forming and growth of both the medical center and Centennial Park. She had been involved in sponsoring the Salome Fourth of July festivities in recent years and sponsored several McMullen Valley Little League teams. Kamrar was born on August 23, 1926, in Tolleson, Arizona, and is survived by her sons, Jeff and Buster Smith, a sister, four brothers and five grandchildren.
