The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 7, 1993 George R. Cobban of Wickenburg died Monday July 5, 1993, at Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City. He was 71 years old. Mr. Cobban was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Cando, N. D. He lived in Arizona for eight years. Mr. Cobban was a life member of the American Legion in Cando. He was also a veteran of World War II in the Army Air Force, discharged as a staff sergeant. Mr. Cobban is survived by his wife, Madonna E. Cobban of Wickenburg; daughter, Jan Bechtold of Minot, N. D.; sons Patrick of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Kelly of Seattle, Washington.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister Margaret Glaude of Port Angeles, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cando. Father Edward Sherman will officiate. Contributions can be made to Arizona Kidney Foundation, 4019 N. 44th St., Phoenix, AZ 85018. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
