Beatrice N. Mager, 84, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away June 12, 2003. She was born October 11, 1918, into a family that included five sisters and two brothers.
In 1956, she moved from her birthplace of Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the valley with her husband and two small sons. Bea, as she liked to be called, was a loyal employee of "S & H Green Stamps" redemption center at the old Christown Mall for over ten years until her retirement in 1979.
She was married to William "Bill" Mager for over 48 years until his death in 1987. Bea will always be remembered for her wit and great humor and her concern for the well being of others. No matter how long you knew her, she always touched you in some special way.
Beatrice is survived by her sons, Terrence (Karen) and Gary (Ernestine) Mager; granddaughters, Celeste (Jay) Burns and Renee Mager; sister, Janet Reckard of Uniontown, PA.
The family would like to thank the many people who visited throughout her failing health, with a special thanks to her sister-in-law, Trudy Hlebak.
Visitation will be held from 5-8PM, with rosary at 7PM, Monday, June 23, 2003, Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St. Phoenix. Mass will be held at 10AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2003, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N Central Ave., Phoenix. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 West Northern Avenue, #A-100, Phoenix, AZ, 85021.
