Martha Jean Kirsch, 79, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed away - Monday, May 5, 2003 in Mesa, AZ.
She was born October 19, 1923 in Memphis, TN to Virgil Carlisle Atchison and Dorothy Proctor. Martha and her family moved to Evansville, Indiana when she was in elementary school. She graduated from Bosse High School and lived in Evansville after her marriage to Edward O. Kirsch and the birth of their 2 sons.
She was an Interior Designer and in 1988 she and her family moved to Arizona. Martha was an avid golfer and ballroom dancing was another of her passions. Martha's memberships included the Palo Verde Golf Club.
Edward, her beloved husband of 54 years passed away in 2002. Her son, Philip E. Kirsch and her sister, June Coudret also preceded her in death. Martha is survived by her loving daughter Christine "Christy" Kirsch and her devoted son-in-law Mike Baker. Martha's loving son David S. Kirsch also survives, as well as 4 adoring grandchildren, Ashley Kirsch, David E. Kirsch, Evan Baker, and Maccrae Baker.
Private services were held. Contributions may be made to Home Helpers, 12020 S. Warner - Elliot Loop Suite 121, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Arrangements were entrusted to Valley of the Sun Mortuary Chandler, Arizona 480/895-9232.
