Roscoe Dazen entered into rest Feb. 4, 2010 in Cibecue. He was born Feb. 1, 1954 in San Carlos.
Roscoe was employed as a janitor with the White Mountain Apache Tribe at Cibecue Complex for many years. He attended school in Globe, received his high school diploma July 9, 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Roscoe served in the United States Army as a Private First Class E-3, Detachment one, 2221 St. Transportation Company (LT/Med Trk) and was honorably discharged July 25, 1980. He will dearly be missed by his family, friends and relatives.
Roscoe is remembered by father, Floyd Dazen; brother, Jerry Dazen; sister, Deana Adley; nephews, Lester Tonay Jr., Mikelson Lupe, Jake Dazen, Darren Dazen and Derek Dazen; nieces, Sylvia Tonay, Dercine Patterson and Darilyn Dazen; grandchildren Jarray Dazen, Isaiah Duryea Jr., Shanaya Duryea, Lemuel Tonay and Lillian Tonay; great-granddaughter, Kylin Bullock; grandfather, Kay A. Lewis of Whiteriver; grandmother, Minnie Tinka of San Carlos; cousins, Cheryl Moody, Isla Adley, Sharon Adley, Erma Adley, Norma Adley, Cindy Bennett, Adam Adley Jr., Alfred Henry, Wilfred Henry Sr., Rose Clay and Ruby Ann Footracer; uncles, Mitch Barlow and Victor Davis; also many relatives.
He will be dearly missed by employees of the Cibecue complex.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Barlow Dazen; sister, Delphine Dazen and brother, Darryl Dazen.
A two night wake started at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at his residence (103 S. Cibecue Road) in Cibecue. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Cibecue Cottonwood Gym, with Pastor Evelina James officiating. Interment will be at the Shadow Mountain Cemetery in Cibecue.
Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
